1. Pick 2 of the following questions (1 from each chapter). Restate the question (remember a thesis is an answer to an intellectual question), answer the question, support it with ample evidence that is accompanied with evidence from the text (documented correctly). Remember your structure of writing!

1.     How does the structure contribute to Kip’s story? 

2.     What is Kip’s REAL purpose of his quest and what does it tell us about Kip?

3.     Does James Joyce do a good job making his readers feel as if they are a part of the dinner table?  Why or why not?

4.     Do you think the lack of dinner gatherings says anything about today’s society?  Why?
