February 1st!

HAPPY FEBRUARY!! We have made it through the LONGEST January, EVER!

Some Statistics:
1. 6 more weeks until Spring Break! (After this week)
2. This is NOT a Leap Year, so we don't have an extra day in February to deal with ;)
3. It is Black History Month!
3. Fun Holidays in February: Ground Hog Day (2/2), Mardi Gras (2/13), Valentine's Day (2/14), Chinese New Year (2/16), President's Day (2/19)

Today in class:
1. We are starting Denis O'Hare's play, An Iliad today. I have given you a great list of thought-provoking questions to help you notice significant happenings in the play. You need to take notes as you are watching on important notices.. events.

We will have a Socratic seminar next week (date TBA) over the two texts, THE Iliad and AN Iliad. This will be your TEST over these texts. You want to take a lot of notes to prepare for this seminar. Think about characterization.. theme... author choices.

DUE FRIDAY:
1. Epic Hero paper due BY CLASS to Google Classroom.
